Naime Jezzeny is a nationally-renowned, senior certified Anusara Yoga teacher who is celebrated for a teaching style that is precise, accessible, and light-hearted. Naime is highly skilled in imparting the knowledge and wisdom of yoga so that it is received almost effortlessly. Students in Naime’s classes are rewarded with renewed understanding and enthusiasm for the practice of yoga. Naime is unique among yoga teachers for his in-depth knowledge of biomechanics and its application to yoga and other movement disciplines. His extensive background includes formal studies in exercise physiology and kinesiology at the University of Southern California. His years of study allow him to take the therapeutic qualities of yoga to another level. Naime’s yoga studies began 17 years ago and led him to many internationally regarded hatha yoga teachers. He met John Friend in January of 1999 and has assisted and studied extensively with John ever since. Naime has worked rehabilitatively with a wide variety of professionals, including Olympic gold medalists, actors, dancers, and business leaders. Regarded as a teacher’s teacher and a master of therapeutics, he has been teaching therapy workshops and teacher trainings for more than six years throughout the U.S. Naime lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with his wife Sue and two boys, Luca & Milo, where he teaches classes, workshops, and trainings at YOGAPHORIA in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Here are Naime‘s thoughts about the power of springtime:
"I am currently in the midst of my third spring since moving back to the east coast, and I am awed by the beauty of the natural landscape!
Moment by moment, it seems, the previously concealed potential of the earth is coaxed and encouraged into form by warmth and rain and the persuasive rays of the sun; so much more glorious because of its sudden arrival after such a long wait.
Ah, what beauty still to come!"

One of Anusara Yoga’s senior certified teachers, Sianna Sherman, teaches workshops and trainings all over the world. The depth of her knowledge of the Universal Principles of Alignment™ is equivalent to the breadth of her devotion to the philosophy that underlies Anusara®. Sianna apprenticed directly under John Friend from 1999 to 2003, traveling with him across the country and helping the students directly experience the Universal Principles of Alignment. Her teaching is inspired by her studies in Rajanaka Tantra philosophy with Dr. Douglas R. Brooks. A shining emissary of the light of Anusara Yoga, Sianna has brought her poetic and powerful teaching to Yoga Journal and Omega Institute conferences. She recently assisted John Friend in Tucson, Arizona at a Therapeutics Training for teachers, expertly guiding trainees in the therapeutic adjustments and helping volunteers from the community experience the healing alignment of Anusara Yoga in their own bodies. Sianna contributed the following passage for this month’s issue of Currents.
"Springtime always has a way of stirring the heart's
fertile ground so that a radiant blossoming comes
forth. This is a time of honoring the cycles of change
sprouting in our lives and to feel the warm embrace of
the air, while we step into the emergence of new
texture and fragrance, as the earth shifts to reveal
the splendor of all her color!"
